Democracy Matters

The right to vote is the most sacred tenet of democracy and we believe that every person should have equal access to cast their vote.

It’s always seemed strange to me that while we celebrate the idea of democracy, it often seems like we don’t always practice what we preach. We hope one day to see Election Day become a federal holiday where every organization is required to give each and every team member all the time necessary to cast their ballot. We hope to see same-day voter registration in all 50 states or better yet, automatic registration when you turn 18. We dream of equal access to polling places with minimal wait times and easy access to mail-in ballots for those who prefer to vote from home.

Until that day comes, we feel that we have not only a civic duty but a moral responsibility to do what we can to support democracy for our team, and in our community. Visceral is proud to join Civic Alliance and Time to Vote, both non-partisan movements made up of hundreds of businesses working together to build a future where everyone participates in shaping our country.

Our offices will be closed on this and all future Election Days so that every member of our team has the freedom and flexibility to ensure that their voice is heard in shaping the direction of our nation.
