Improving Health For All in San Francisco
Metta Fund is a private foundation whose mission is to improve health in the city and county of San Francisco.
The Foundation is committed to supporting nonprofits that work toward lasting change. With an outdated site and a team in transition (looking for a new director), Visceral worked with Metta Fund to create a thoughtful website that could help the Foundation evolve not only their look, but also their content and overall communications strategy to be more aligned with the impactful work in the field.
The new site serves to show audiences who Metta Fund is, what areas of support they are involved in, and the impact of their grantees. With a new site that is well architected and easy to use, Metta Fund is now able to communicate thoughtfully and transparently about grantmaking and the progress of ongoing projects.
Explore Focus Areas
Metta Fund has five areas that guide grantmaking and partnerships. The site now features these areas by explaining what they are, showing key statistics for each and explaining what the organizations under each focus area are working on.
Stories of Impact
Through thoughtful content development and architecture, the new site tells the stories of grantees and provides regular updates from the field. These stories bring forward the people and impact of the work through visual and text based formats that are pleasant and informative to read.
View Grants Awarded
Browse the Fund’s awarded grants via a searchable grants database. The database is supported via a WordPress plug-in that integrates with data from the Fund’s grants management system.
The Community Room section allows community members to view and request a reservation for Metta Fund’s space that is open to nonprofit organizations, government agencies and other partner institutions. Visitors can look at photos of the room as well as get information on cost and availability through the site.
