Silicon Valley Social Venture Fund (SV2)
SV2 is a community of more than 200 individuals and families who have come together to learn about effective giving and pool resources to support innovative social ventures.
SV2 engaged Visceral to help communicate who they are, what they do and how it impacts the community. Working collaboratively with SV2, we implemented a new brand identity through the redesigned website that reflects the organization’s culture and impact. The result showcases the work of SV2 grantees, partners and the communities that they are impacting. More broadly, the website communicates SV2’s commitment to engaged and collaborative giving to create maximum impact.
Revealing a New Brand
Prior to engaging with Visceral, SV2 participated in a brand strategy project to develop a new visual identity. The new website was SV2’s first opportunity to implement the new identity through new communications. It was important that the website be refreshing, bold, streamlined and accessible. Visceral and SV2 worked with care to design a site that visually communicates the attributes through typography, color and imagery, while also thoughtfully presenting content to all audience groups.
The new SV2 website strikes a balance of information and utility. On the site, audiences can read about SV2’s current work by browsing News and the Who We Support gallery, while also viewing the most upcoming events, registering for events, applying to become a partner and contributing to the organization.
It is a purposeful website that conveys SV2’s mission to unleash resources and talents in support of social ventures. The design and intuitive user experience communicate SV2’s priorities through the what we do and who we support sections. Audiences can read about the organization’s model, learn about collaborative opportunities and get involved as a funder. The section helps connect the detail of the Fund’s work with the partners and grantees doing the work in the field.
Prior to launch, the website received about 2,000 sessions per month. In the first week of launch, SV2 already received its first online donation and application. We look forward to continuing our work with SV2 to monitor and expand website growth over time.
