Project Manager

Visceral is hiring a Project Manager in San Diego

As a Project Manager, you will be responsible for the day-to-day management and delivery of projects to Visceral clients. You are a strategic and conceptual thinker who is detail oriented and hyper-organized. You are a strong communicator who loves contributing ideas and being part of a team. You are comfortable speaking to clients, having tough conversations, organizing large amounts of information, juggling multiple projects at once, and keeping track of all the little details. Primary responsibilities include the following:

Project Coordination

  • Creating and executing project plans
  • Creating and managing multiple project calendars and milestones
  • Effectively manage changing client needs and requirements throughout the engagement
  • Plan and identify resource needs throughout the project
  • Reviewing deliverables prepared by team before passing to client
  • Prepares for reviews and uses appropriate quality assurance procedures


  • Facilitates team and client meetings effectively
  • Holds regular status meetings with project team
  • Effectively communicates relevant project information to superiors
  • Delivers engaging, informative, well-organized presentations
  • Resolves and/or escalates issues in a timely fashion
  • Understands how to communicate difficult/sensitive information tactfully

Client Management

  • Manages day-to-day client interaction and sets and manages client expectations
  • Develops lasting relationships with client personnel that foster client loyalty
  • Communicates effectively with clients to identify needs and evaluate alternative solutions
  • Continually seeks opportunities to increase client satisfaction and deepen relationships
  • Builds a knowledge base of each client’s business, organization, and objectives

You must have:

  • A passion for using your skills to help advance the world’s most pressing causes
  • 2-3 years experience managing web-based products
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to present solutions to clients
  • The desire to collaborate
  • Ability to effectively manage your time around multiple projects
  • A desire to learn!

It would be great if you have:

  • Experience working in WordPress
  • Knowledge of branding, web design, digital marketing, online strategy
  • Knowledge of the grantmaking, nonprofit, and social impact sector
