2021 Year in Review
Another year in the books.
We were able to see our team members in person again for the first time in forever. It was great to catch up with them, have some drinks, do some business planning, have some more drinks, eat pizza and have drinks, and generally feel like things are returning to normal.
We were also able to get back out into our community and continue our tradition of volunteering. We joined some of the other awesome B Corps in San Diego to help plant trees and clean up weeds in Flinn Springs County Park.
Visceral turned 15 in 2021 and we celebrated with milestone by capturing the team’s thoughts on what makes a great organization as we look forward to the future.
Living out our values is a big part of that future and we’re proud to have signed on to the Civic Alliance Joint Statement for an Orderly and Peaceful Transition of Power as well as the Joint Statement on Protecting Voting Access along with hundreds of other companies.

In a world where things often feel like they’re getting more difficult every day, we are continually reminded of the good people who endeavor to change things for the better, and we remain ever grateful to be part of so many great stories.

New Swag!
I’m writing this while I drink my 16th cup of coffee for the day in my sweet new Visceral-branded “Give a Damn” mug. Kudos to Mica and the design team for creating these awesome mugs for us.
ComNet Presentation
ComNet was still virtual this year, but Matthew and Allen attended, absolutely crushed a web redesign dialogue, and also did some speed dating networking.

Speaking Out
Jay spoke to a class of MBA students at USD about B Corps, social entrepreneurship, and generally how not to be a terribly unethical business.
Local B Corps Unite!
We continued to create solid working relationships with fellow B Corporations and all-around do-gooders Kelly O’Hara of Uplift Accounting, Sam Mazzeo of Better, and Henkel Smith of Offset Alliance.
