What do you do at Visceral?
As a UX Designer at Visceral, I provide support to the creative team through research, information architecture, design mockups and collaboration with our development team to launch a client’s website! I work closely with the Creative Director and Chief Strategist in the process and assist them with any creative tasks when needed.
What inspires you?
As someone who renders through a computer screen all day long, my daily inspiration obviously comes through outlets of social media, and many, many websites I research and find. However, it’s important every now and then to step away from the computer: First for your own sanity and secondly, inspiration is all around us. I find inspiration in nature, in the clothes people wear, the wallpaper or interior design of a coffee shop. I usually find it randomly when I am out and about and not seeking for it.
What is your go-to coffee order?
Most of the year it’s a vanilla latte, but when the holiday season comes around, I bring the peppermint mocha back into my life!
If I weren’t so damn good at my job, I’d be….
Realistically, I would have been a vet tech. I love animals and caring for sick animals would be at the top of my list. However, my dream job in the animal field would be owning my own Cat Cafe with a twist! It’s top secret… I can’t really get into detail with my idea but it’s around those lines of owning a business where I can create a space for cat adoption, rescue services and a place where cat lovers alike can lounge and play with kittens all day!
