The Problem:

The previous website was quickly outgrowing Carney’s reputation as a premier business solutions provider in the Washington D.C. area. Awards, new initiatives, project launches and other news was compiling faster than the website could maintain. Over time the site became stagnant and difficult to manage.

Solution:

Carney, Inc. continues to grow aggressively and the site needed to match that pace. We worked closely with Carney to define the site’s architecture and user interface through detailed wireframes. We approached the redesign from a highly conceptual level in presenting a series of moodboards to establish potential design directions. Carney’s visual focus and online presence was changing directions and this proved to be a crucial step. The final composites solidly captured their immediate and long-term objectives.

The homepage is built to allow for multiple features to be displayed at once. This allows for better use of page real estate and keeps the site looking “refreshed” more often.

Continued Effort:

Visceral continutes to work with Carney on new intiatives such as blogging and a mobile version of the website.

A companion mobile site was introduced later which made the site easily readable on smartphones. jQuery mobile was leveraged as the framework for the mobile site and it was also built to be easily managed inside Sitefinity.
